Doodles and moleskines

A quick sketch and watercolour of circles influenced by some of the wagonized freeing up techniques.

Got given some of those poster pens that are used for pub notice boards or more usefully/usually for graffiti ( when I worked in an art shop we bizarrely had to keep them in a locked cabinet!) So anyhow I decided to decorate my latest moleskine

I don't like the back as much though for completeness thought I would post it.

Finally an update

Seeing as the stats show me people still check out this site after over a yr of nothing I thought I would update it!

More tattoo updates to follow but I have managed to figure posting from my iPhone (hereby refered to going forwards as the ipoo as it's known in our house.)

Some rough sketches for other peoples tattoos below the brief was skulls and metallica!

OK the story here is long but bear with me! The wings on my back were designed be me & tattooed by Katt at Dark Passions, Sowerby Bridge. I've been working on the centre piece which will start just below my hairline continuing right down to my lower back.

The two drawing's here are of that center piece for the tattoo, I think I prefer the version without the rose but would love your opinions.

Ok some doodles that have done in Prismacolour markers and rotering isograph pen. Based on the sticker bomb graffiti style.Also Just ordered one of Andrea's http://andreajoseph24.blogspot.com/Molezines from Etsy along with a few other secret Christmas pressie buys! I will post some photo's taken at the end of the summer at Wainwrights tower soon.

Ok Seven months where we have moved house and both had loads on at work! Seeing how we have just had our three month house check from the landlord and the house is more or less sorted and tidy, I thought I would post the final pictures of the moleskine along with a few pictures Tim and I have done.

My debut post on here so I thought I'd post a Sci Fi type thing from last weekend. Not really a subject I've drawn before (hence all the cliches!)

Lamps and Cop

A lamp I made using a picture I drew ages ago, really pleased with it and how the cut out shapes glow (with a B&M cheap lightbulb inside).

And a pointy drawing of a bizarre magazine cover of Kelly Brook, unfortunately I've made her look a bit like a drag queen....

hi Isla, just so you know the moleskin arrived on my doormat on tuesday. Was very exciting and its looks great so far - am well and truly feeling the pressure! Have a uni assignment to do but will get onto it as soon as i'm done, am planning my picture already! Also, know someone who might want to join too - can i just add them on the end?

Sitting here looking at all of the pictures with my 9 (& 3/4) old niece Zoe( with a double dot above the e dont forget!), she cant decide on her favorite either Dan or Jo's. But Dans made her laugh. Have a Happy Christmas all and looking forward to seeing Dan L's contribution in the New year

I have managed to 'nag Tim to scan the sketch book and start coloring in his pictures... I'll get him some crayons...

Sorry its taken so long life's been hectic in our house as we got a drumkit lots of fun, However as I inadvertently announced to my boss at work today 'Tim is the rhythmical one in our relationship' and I'm not very good :(

So hopefully by this weekend Tim will have finished his coloring in and Dan Liles will get the book then Tim Hay then Rachel Heatherington and back again to me

We're getting there!
So far Lorna, Jo, Tim and I are all up for joining this and possibly Tim's dad (Chris) and Lorna's Dan and Bob.

I'll order a watercolor and Japanese moleskine and when we have a definite list of people I'll put everyone's email and postal addresses in the front (as well as giving you all publishing access to the blog). We can then decide as a group which sketch book to use, the order it gets sent around and if we want to have a theme for the book.

What Moleskine?

I've sent all of you emails on the idea of starting this up, let me know if you want to invite anyone else and I can give them access to post on this site etc. Well I guess if we want to start this up the first thing is to decide on what kind of Moleskine we want to get. There are several types on this site so let me know what you all think is best and I'll order the first one. Most of the other sites I've found seem to use Moleskine Japanese Album with zig zag fold out pages but this site also does a heavier paper watercolour version or larger sized versions. Any how let me know what you think
